18 days...50 cals?


my friend is going to eat one 50 cal yoghurt a day and exercise for about 4 hours a day (she is a gym instructor)

she is doing this for 18 days... how much do you think she can lose. she's about 5'7 and 130lbs right now...?? i know this sounds rather drastic but she won't change her mind..


She'll kill herself.
She'll lose over 10lbs in 6 days. When I used to be anorexic, my friends and I only ate 50 cals a day, water, and green tea, and I lost 11lbs in 6 days, and my friend lost 15lbs in 6 days. We only worked out like 1hr and 30 min a day.

EDIT: SHe WON'T die in a couple of days. People can last without food for 40 days. She just might pass out by 2 or 3 weeks (cuz she works out a lot.)

Is she only eating that yogurt? She'd die in a couple of days if that's so!
You need to help her.
Thats really not good. She is going to be to weak. She might faint.
If she won't change her mind. Then go to the gym with her, keep an eye on her, because shes seriosuly damaging her body.
well the majority of the weight she'll loose in the next 2 weeks or so will be water weight for the first 7. In the next week she won't have the energy to exercise for her full 4 hours so she'll be burning of muscle mass to get protein into her body and should drop about 10lbs. Unfortunately her body will go into starvation mode after about day 5 and she will store all of her fat, and any fat she consumes will also go into storage instead of being burnt off. So..... she'll lose any lean muscle mass she has and actually cause her body to slow down its metabolism, making her into a very efficient fat storage machine. She would be better off, eating 1000 calories a day and mixing up cardio and weight training. Then she could drop a real 15lbs of fat in a couple months. And more than that, inches too, while building up lean muscle.
why would she do that? does she think guys like dating walking sticks?

she must be one bad gym instructor if that is her only way to lose weight
you said she's a gym instructor? she should know this isn't good for you,one bit.her body could relapse.she will loose this weight as well as dehydrate herself..thats isn't good.don't try this either.
