***Anyone know why this is happening***correct pic is posted with this now***?

I am in the Marines and I am in Iraq right now, I have been working out 6 days a week. I swim 3-4 days out of the week for about 1-2 hours. I feel like I get good cardio in, plus I do some weight training within all of that. I am trying to lose weight, but it seems that I have gained weight and stayed around the same for about a month now. Everyone tells me I'm not fat. I am 5'4" and weigh 148lbs. I want my waist and thighs to be smaller though. I dont really get to eat a whole lot plus our schedules are really akward. I work from noon-8pm here. So I eat lunch when I get to work and have a snack at about 3pm and then I have dinner at about 5pm and eat a snack around 7pm and nothing really until lunch again the next day. Its also kinda hard being in Iraq trying to get a lot of snacks in and healthy ones. Any advice? I also drink TONS of water here, so I think some of it could be water weight. Here is a pic of me the other day.

You look great so why torture yourself you have a hard enough time as it is what is happening over there its only what we here on tv and are you all safe from the war or is it like a time bomb going off and do you believe the military presences has made a difference
Hi again, Marine! As I've said before, you are fit and muscular and HOT! The only thing I'd do differently is maybe cut down on the weights and resistance work on your legs if you want them to be slimmer.2-3 good muscle workouts a week is plenty. Keep up the cardio - can you do some jogging too? That can really help slim your legs down.

All in all, I think that most of your 148 is muscle. You don't have a lot of fat to lose by the look of you. Your friends and family will think you look fantastic when you go back - in 4 months was it?
you look like you have gained muscle.
you are not fat at all!
im not surprised, with all the exercise youve been doing im surprised ur not a tank!!
haha good on you :)
Firstly - I really want to thank you for what your doing! Honestly you are amazing for going over there!

Well about the weight issue, i dont think you look big at all, You look perfectly fine to me...
But as you say, you drink alot of water, so that could really be the cause.
maybe you just dont have a very high motabalism? Thats usually the cause of weight gain and weight loss.
Well i hope you reach your goal.

You look great, girl!!! Your gaining weight because you are building muscle mass. My advice to you is stay safe so you can come home to your family--and thank you for doing your job so well. God bless you.

5'4" and 148lbs. You sound like you might be close to your maximum allowable weight... If your branch of the Service still uses weight and not % of body fat.

You DON'T look like a porker. Maybe all the exercise and etc has actually DECREASED your % of body fat while keeping your weight close to where it was when you started your regime. I think that is WHAT you are dealing with...

You look GOOD. Worry more about the inches and how your civvie clothes fit than the scale. You are doing the right stuff. Just make sure those snacks are not of the junk food variety and limit the sodas.

If you are on the "fat girl program" then make sure you COMMUNICATE with the person tracking your progress. Get them to help you with a plan and make sure they know about all your EFFORTS...

I think it is BOGUS that they have you "guys" over in a war zone and you are having to be CONCERNED about how much you weigh! They need to revamp the MREs if that is the case...

Hey, THANKS for doing your part over there in sand land... You women are blazing the trail... There is no de-militarized zone there. You GO, you COMBAT vet you.

(I wonder how the dudes at the VFW are doing with the INFLUX of female combat zone vets becoming members...)

Take it EASY and be SAFE!

You look fantastic. I'm sure that the reason that you seem to have gained weight is that muscle weighs more than fat. So, while getting thinner, the numbers will be higher on the scale. You don't need to lose anything from your waist. I'm sure that your thighs are bigger than you want them to be (although they look fine to me) because you have muscle there. Good Luck!
